Work locations vary according to participant needs and operational requirements.

Employment Type

Casual

Employment is offered on a casual basis.

Shifts are allocated according to participant needs, worker suitability and operational requirements.

Casual employment does not guarantee a minimum number of hours.

Salary

From $35.00 per hour (Casual) plus Superannuation, applicable SCHADS Award penalty rates, weekend and public holiday penalties, travel allowances and kilometre reimbursement where applicable.

Classification and remuneration will be determined in accordance with the SCHADS Award based on qualifications, experience and the inherent requirements of the role.

About the Role

You will support adults within Supported Independent Living (SIL), participant homes and community settings who benefit from structured environments, consistent routines and positive behaviour support.

Working collaboratively with Team Leaders, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Registered Nurses (where applicable), Support Coordinators and allied health professionals, you will deliver supports that promote safety, independence, dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities may include:

Personal care and activities of daily living.
Community participation and transport.
Supporting participants to develop independence and life skills.
Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies in accordance with Behaviour Support Plans.
Supporting structured routines that promote stability and wellbeing.
Assisting with medication within organisational policy and scope of practice.
Supporting appointments and therapeutic programs.
Completing accurate and objective progress notes.
Reporting incidents, hazards and changes in participant presentation.
Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Participants You May Support

Participants may include adults living with:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
Intellectual disability
Psychosocial disability
Cognitive impairment
Functional support needs
Behaviours of concern
Participants transitioning from hospital or other care settings into community living

Supports are delivered in accordance with participant goals, assessed needs, identified risks and EddenRose's service capability.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role and possess:

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Reliable, registered and insured motor vehicle where transport forms part of the role.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete before commencement).
Right to work in Australia.
Smartphone with internet access.
Ability to communicate effectively and complete accurate electronic documentation.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

The following are highly regarded but not essential:

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Mental Health or another relevant qualification.
Experience supporting adults with autism, acquired brain injury, psychosocial disability or intellectual disability.
Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
Understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice.
Experience within Supported Independent Living (SIL), mental health or community disability services.
Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
