Male Disability Support Worker – Sunshine, VIC
Unmatched Support Services is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and community-minded Male Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a male participant in Sunshine, VIC.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys being active, engaging in the community, and supporting participants to pursue their interests and maintain independence.
About the Participant
The participant:
- Enjoys outdoor activities and spending time in the community
- Likes attending community-based events
- Has a keen interest in cars
- Enjoys an active and social lifestyle
- Values meaningful community participation and independence
About the Role
You will provide person-centred support and assist the participant to engage in activities that align with his interests and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support community access and social participation
- Attend community events and recreational outings
- Support outdoor and activity-based interests
- Encourage independence and participant choice
- Build a positive, respectful, and professional rapport
- Provide reliable one-on-one support
- Complete progress notes and documentation in line with NDIS requirements
Roster
- 1 weekday shift + 1 weekend shift
- 3 hours per shift
- Shift times to be discussed directly with the participant
About You
We are looking for a Male Disability Support Worker who is:
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate
- Active and comfortable participating in outdoor and community activities
- Confident supporting community access
- Interested in cars and/or similar recreational interests
- Able to establish a positive and respectful professional relationship
- Committed to promoting independence and participant choice
- Previous disability support experience is highly regarded
Essential Requirements
- Male Support Worker – participant preference
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle is preferred
- Right to work in Australia
- Previous disability support experience is highly regarded
Participant preference: A support worker in their 30s may be well suited to the participant's interests and preferred support dynamic.
