Junior Sports Coach / Sports Program Assistant – AgileX Performance

Location: Sydney, NSW

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $25.00 per hour, with opportunities for increased pay and responsibility

Required Availability: Tuesdays

About AgileX Performance

AgileX Performance is a growing sports performance and coaching business focused on helping young athletes develop their skills, fitness, confidence and overall athletic ability.

We deliver sports programs for children and young athletes, including school-based programs, field sessions and gym-based sports performance training.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for reliable, energetic and motivated people who want to become part of the AgileX team.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Junior Sports Coach / Sports Program Assistant to assist with the delivery of our sports programs.

A major part of the role involves working with children, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, approachable and able to communicate well with young people while maintaining a fun, safe and structured environment.

You will initially work alongside our existing coaches and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you gain experience.

Your responsibilities may include:

Assisting with sports programs and activities for children
Setting up and packing down equipment
Helping coaches organise and manage groups
Demonstrating drills, games and exercises
Encouraging and engaging participants
Helping maintain a safe and positive training environment
Assisting with after-school sports performance sessions
Assisting with gym and field-based training sessions
Potentially running sessions independently once experienced and confident

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know everything from day one. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn and develop with us.

You must:

Hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transport
Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Be available on Tuesdays
Be confident and comfortable working with children
Be reliable and punctual
Have good communication skills
Be energetic, responsible and professional
Have an interest in sport, fitness, coaching or working with young athletes
Be willing to learn and take on additional responsibility

Previous coaching, personal training, sports science, exercise science or experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.

As your skills, responsibilities and value to the team increase, there will also be opportunities for increased pay.

Pay

Starting rate: $25.00 per hour.

Pay may increase over time based on performance, experience, responsibilities and your contribution to the business.
