CHILDREN’S SPORTS COACH – AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Are you the kind of person who loves sport, enjoys working with children and brings positive energy wherever you go?
Super Activities is looking for enthusiastic people to deliver fun, structured after-school programs at primary schools and early-learning settings across Sydney.
You don’t need to be an elite athlete or an experienced teacher. We’re looking for energetic, dependable people who can engage children, communicate confidently and create an environment where everyone feels included.
This opportunity is ideal for:
- Sports coaches and players
- University students studying teaching, sport, exercise science or similar fields
- Teachers and education support staff
- Personal trainers and fitness instructors
- Gymnastics, dance or movement coaches
- Anyone active, confident and great with children
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll deliver engaging activities through our range of programs, including:
- Soccer
- Multi-sport activities
- Fundamental movement skills
- Gymnastics and creative movement
- Active games and team challenges
Most shifts take place between approximately 3:00pm and 6:00pm on weekdays. You can work across several afternoons or nominate the days that suit your availability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering fun, structured sessions using provided lesson plans
- Creating positive and inclusive experiences for children
- Setting up and packing away equipment
- Managing groups safely and confidently
- Encouraging teamwork, confidence and skill development
- Communicating positively with parents, school staff and other coaches
- Following attendance, sign-out and child-safety procedures

ABOUT YOU
You will be:
- Sporty, active and enthusiastic
- Confident leading and engaging groups of children
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- Friendly and comfortable communicating with parents and school staff
- Able to follow a lesson plan while bringing your own energy to the session
- Available for at least two weekday afternoons between approximately 3:00pm and 6:00pm
- Interested in developing your coaching and leadership skills
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one before commencing
- Reliable transport and the ability to travel to your allocated school
- The right to work in Australia
- A responsible and professional approach to working with children
Previous coaching, teaching or childcare experience is highly regarded, but it isn’t essential. Training and support can be provided to the right person.
First Aid and CPR qualifications are desirable. Depending on the program, successful applicants may be required to obtain these before commencing.
