Customer Service Support

About the Role

We are seeking a capable, Customer Service Support professional to join our busy Taren Point team.

This is a hands-on role combining internal sales, quoting, customer service, technical product support, tender administration and data entry.

You will work closely with customers, sales representatives, warehouse staff, product managers, engineers and overseas factories to ensure enquiries, quotes, orders and deliveries are handled accurately and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who can think logically, work with numbers, solve problems and remain professional and level-headed when the workload gets busy.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

Preparing, submitting and managing tenders and period contracts.
Preparing and managing customer and Sales Team quotations.
Following up outstanding quotes and maintaining accurate quote status information.
Liaising with overseas factories, product managers and engineers to identify suitable products and resolve technical enquiries.
Reading and interpreting product specification sheets, drawings and material requirements.
Identifying and recommending alternate or equivalent products where required.
Managing special product and pricing arrangements.
Calculating pricing, margins and profitability.
Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email.
Providing customers with pricing, stock availability, product information and delivery updates.
Entering customer orders accurately into the system.
Creating picking slips and invoices for warehouse processing.
Coordinating with warehouse personnel regarding customer deliveries.
Following up late or missing deliveries with freight companies.
Maintaining and updating customer records and databases.
Liaising professionally with internal departments, external customers and associated companies.
Providing accurate information within required timeframes and in accordance with company procedures.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, sales support
Strong quoting and sales administration skills.
Experience working in a B2B and/or B2C environment.
Experience with electrical, data, industrial, cabling or related technical products will be highly regarded.
Previous exposure to tenders, major customer agreements is an advantage.
Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Fast and accurate data-entry skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good mathematical and numerical ability.
Strong logical thinking and an ability to recognise sequences and patterns.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to interpret technical information and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying alternative products and practical solutions for customers.
The ability to communicate and coordinate information accurately across multiple departments.
A friendly, confident and professional manner.
A positive, team-oriented attitude.
The ability to build strong and lasting customer relationships.
The ability to remain level-headed and professional in a busy, high-pressure environment.
A current driver's licence and ability to drive.

Location

This position is based full-time at our Taren Point NSW office.

Applicants living within approximately 20km of Taren Point or with a practical daily commute to the area are strongly encouraged to apply.
