Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

The Night Manager is the senior operational representative on shift and serves as the primary escalation point for operational issues, incidents, resident and student support, and overnight service delivery across Powerhouse Parramatta.
Operating within a complex 24-hour environment, the Night Manager provides operational coordination across Powerhouse Residencies, Lang Walker Academy and overnight site operations, ensuring a safe, secure and seamless experience for residents, students, guests and stakeholders.
Acting as Manager-on-Duty during overnight periods, the role is responsible for coordinating overnight operations, responding to incidents and service disruptions, managing guest and resident issues, and supporting the operational readiness of the site for the following day. The Night Manager works collaboratively with Security, Facilities, Cleaning and operational teams to maintain operational continuity, site safety and service standards across the precinct.
The role operates on a dedicated overnight roster within a 24-hour operational environment and provides leadership and operational coverage during overnight periods, weekends and public holidays as required.
