About Victoria By The Park

Victoria By The Park are a small aged care facility overlooking the beautiful Hopetoun Gardens in Elsternwick, Melbourne.

Victoria By The Park aims to promote, foster and maintain the highest possible level of care, service and accommodation. Our vision is for Victoria By The Park to be of the highest quality care with innovative services that are responsive to the changing requirements of residents and their families.

· Beautiful facility in South Eastern Suburbs

· Shifts available across all shifts Monday to Sunday. Casual positions available

· Friendly, supportive, and consumer care focused organisation

Due to growing occupancy Victoria By The Park are looking for personal carers to join our team on a Casual basis, working across a range of shifts in the morning, afternoon and evening.

About the Role

Working as part of team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals, you will make a positive impact on the life of our residents with your compassionate, supportive approach that empowers our residents' choices and independence.

· Delivering the best possible care to our residents to maintain our residents’ wellbeing, comfort and dignity.

· Supporting with daily living tasks such as showering and meals, etc

· Manual handling

· Following direction from the Registered Nurse/s and Managers

About You

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate;

Compassion and have genuine empathy with our residents.
Able to work cooperatively within a team and with a wide range of people.
High level of verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, with good organisation and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Use initiative and deal with unexpected situations.
Positive and friendly personality with a passion for assisting our residents to maintain their quality of life.
Aware of Work Health and Safety and Infection Control Procedures·
Have a sound understanding of the Aged Care Standards.
All candidates must have a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or have completed their aged care placement of their Bachelor of Nursing. Previous experience in residential aged care and a current NDIS Worker Screening Check is essential for all positions.
