Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Administrator / PA to join our team. Based in Kalgoorlie, this is a Full-Time position that will report directly to the General Manager.

VM Drilling is a privately owned RC drilling company based in Kalgoorlie, serving clients throughout Western Australia.

VM Drilling was established in 2004 as a one rig company and grew organically to a reputable mid-size company. Today the business is operating up to 10 Rigs and possesses extensive experience within the mining industry.

About the Position

This is a new position in a growing business. We're looking for an experienced Senior Administrator for a varied position managing the small administration team and providing PA support to the General Manager and Operations Manager.

Previous experience working in mining subcontracting / mobilisation is advantageous. A varied and autonomous position in a fast-paced environment for an individual with strong organisation skills who has the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Requirement for this position:

Minimum 5 years' experience
High level of organisational skills
Previous experience in a fast paced environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to manage a small team
Strong interpersonal skills, communicate with all levels of the organisation, clients, suppliers etc.
Eye for detail with the ability to also step back and see the bigger picture
Multitask and follow through all duties in a professional manner
Previous Mine Site, Drilling or Contracting exposure would be preferred but not essential
Previous site access experience is advantageous

Duties include:

Personal Assistant to General Manager and Operations Manager - diary, emails, general administration support
Provide leadership and oversight to the current administration team (2 staff)
Providing leading to existing and implementation of new administration systems, structures and processes - automation to streamline and support the growing business
Mobilisation oversight:
- Booking and scheduling of all employee flights
- Management all employee mobilisation and site access
- Liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, mine site, employees and senior management team
- Maintaining Training/Site Matrixes
- Assisting with Maintenance Administration
