Primary objective
Provide technical and subject matter expertise in the delivery of system support and reporting, problem resolution, change
management and system training for the alcohol harm reduction program within the Northern Territory. Provide
management and advice for the maintenance of the Banned Drinker Register (BDR) enterprise.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide specialist advice in relation to the on-going support and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, services, mobility

and systems for the alcohol harm reduction program.
2. Assist in the maintenance of the ICT architecture and security of the BDR, integration with core systems and in the

development and maintenance of associated policy, procedures and standards.
3. Assist with providing reports (e.g. BDR activity reports) and support the analysis of trends and performance of the

program as required by agency stakeholders.
4. Manage and coordinate change requests and co-ordinate acceptance testing and implementation activities.
5. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of key stakeholders.
6. Contribute to the development of training for users of the BDR together with the provision of training as and when

required.
7. Lead and co-ordinate innovation investment for the BDR for the ongoing strategy.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven well-developed business and technical expertise relevant to mission critical business systems.
2. Substantial experience with business processes analysis and reporting.
3. Proven experience with problem management, maintaining system documentation and providing end user training.
4. Proven experience in project management and planning methodologies and frameworks.
5. Proven high-level stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
6. High-level collaborative, interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate

effectively with senior management, external service providers, IT specialists and people from diverse cultures.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of Commitment to service, Innovation, Ethical

practice, Accountability, Impartiality, Diversity and Respect.

Desirable
1. Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline.
2. ITIL Foundation Certificate.
3. There will be a requirement for travel to remote areas for periods of time.
