PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
To manage the procurement, coordination, and control of inventory and materials to ensure the timely availability, accuracy, and efficient use of
stock required to support safe, reliable, and efficient Power and Water operations. The role contributes to effective inventory management through
strong process execution, supplier and stakeholder coordination, and maintaining stock integrity and availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
- Manage the Inventory materials replenishment functions in line with Power and Water Corporation’s Strategic Sourcing and Contract
Management Procedures, including managing supplier relationships, contract administration, back-order fulfilment and logistics coordination
functions.
- Work in partnership with Asset Management, Service Delivery, Engineering and Project teams to support the end-to-end materials planning and
procurement in line with Power and Water Corporation’s procurement rules.
- Maintain optimal levels of inventory across Power and Water warehouses to support operational and capital works programs.
- Support cost control initiatives and at the same time ensure that quality and reliability standards of supply are met.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics including lead times and technical specifications’ compliance and provide relevant reports to the business
for future tendering exercises and the management of contract KPIs.
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, by effectively managing contract
and non-contract supply issues and risks, with minimal disruption to the supply chain.
- Assist Contracts Management with relevant information in handling disputes, processing contract variations and managing any other contractual
issues, including non-performance and other areas of non-compliance.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies
