About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Financial Investment Manager to support investment advisory, transaction execution, portfolio management, and strategic financial analysis activities across a diversified investment portfolio.

The role involves working closely with clients, investors, advisors, and senior management to assess investment opportunities, develop investment strategies, monitor portfolio performance, and support the achievement of financial and commercial objectives.

This position provides exposure across investment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio operations, financial modelling, stakeholder management, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Interviewing prospective clients to determine financial status and objectives, discussing financial options and developing financial plans and investment strategies
Advising on investment strategies, sources of funds and the distribution of earnings
Setting financial objectives, and developing and implementing strategies for achieving the financial objectives
Assist in the execution of investment transactions, including conducting due diligence, financial modelling, and valuation analysis
Monitoring investment performance, and reviewing and revising investment plans based on modified needs and changes in markets
Support Investment Managers and Managing Directors in monitoring portfolio company performance and driving operational improvement initiatives
Analyse operational metrics, financial performance indicators, and business trends to identify areas for enhancement and value creation
Assist in reviewing investment performance and supporting strategic initiatives within portfolio companies
Support the identification, evaluation, and analysis of investment and merger & acquisition opportunities
Conduct market research and industry analysis to assess market trends, commercial viability, and competitive positioning
Assist in developing strategic recommendations relating to investments, acquisitions, and growth initiatives
Run systematic processes to source, generate, and evaluate investment opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, advisors, investors, and industry stakeholders to support deal origination and business development activities
Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders as required throughout transaction processes
Prepare reports, forecasts, presentations, and investment committee materials for internal stakeholders
Monitor portfolio company performance and assist in preparing quarterly investment reviews and financial analyses
Support the collection of financial, accounting and investment information and the preparation of budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns

Skills & Experience

Experience in investment management, private equity, corporate advisory, investment banking, financial planning, or related financial services
Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of investment markets, portfolio management, and financial strategy development
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work across multiple transactions and projects in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $140,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
