We are seeking an experienced, reliable and hands-on Accommodation Services and Farmstay Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our diverse accommodation portfolio across multiple sites in the Hawkesbury and Sydney Region.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a rewarding leadership role across boutique agritourism and other accommodation. Reporting directly to the owners, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our accommodation businesses, delivering exceptional guest and resident experiences, leading staff, coordinating service delivery and maintaining high operational, presentation and compliance standards across the portfolio.
The role requires regular travel between properties and rostered overnight stays at the Hawkesbury farm stay.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing operations of accommodation properties across multiple sites.
- Managing reservations, guest enquiries, online bookings, check-ins, check-outs and payment processing.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring positive guest and resident experiences.
- Monitoring occupancy levels and implementing strategies to maximise accommodation utilisation.
- Monitoring guest feedback and implementing continuous service improvements.
- Preparing accommodation for guest arrivals and conducting final quality inspections to ensure presentation and cleanliness standards are met.
- Maintaining booking records, operational documentation and reservation systems.
- Managing operational budgets, purchasing and inventory.
- Coordinating housekeeping, laundry and cleaning services to maintain consistently high accommodation standards.
- Scheduling accommodation operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of daily services across all sites.
- Coordinating suppliers, trades and contractors to undertake repairs and preventative maintenance with minimal disruption to guests and residents.
- Conducting regular property inspections to ensure accommodation facilities remain safe, compliant and well presented.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, accommodation standards and organisational procedures.
- Overseeing the care and welfare of farm animals at the Hawkesbury property as part of maintaining the farm stay environment and guest experience.
- Maintaining the security, presentation and operational readiness of all accommodation facilities.
- Recruiting, training, rostering, supervising and supporting accommodation staff.
- Preparing operational reports and providing recommendations to the owners to improve business performance, guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience managing accommodation is essential.
- Experience in the agritourism industry.
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, administrative and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities across several locations.
- Sound computer skills and experience using reservation or property management systems.
- Experience with accommodation booking platforms and MYOB (desirable).
- Experience coordinating maintenance, contractors and operational budgets.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in rural living and a commitment to animal welfare.
- Flexibility to travel regularly between properties and stay overnight at the Hawkesbury property as per roster.
