#GreatMindsDon'tThinkAlike At Uber, we take pride in our diversity and working environment that sees you as more than just a person that can do the job, but a unique individual that can level up our organisation with a perspective only you can offer. About The Team
UberEats has been a market leader in Online Food Delivery for the past 10 years. While there are many Australians and Kiwis that have ordered a meal through us, there are plenty of others who haven't tried our products and services yet. The ANZ team obsesses over growing our business in Australia and New Zealand; across eaters, delivery people and restaurants. Our cultural value
#GoGetIt embodies the attitude and mentality of Delivery at Uber. We provide the best customer experience possible for our consumers, as well as facilitating growth and earnings for our merchants and drivers!
About The Role
As the
Key Account Director of
Global Delivery Partnerships (QSR) you will serve as the commercial architect and internal "CEO" for Uber Eats' most vital enterprise portfolio in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region.
You will hold complete P&L accountability for our largest partnerships that command a significant share platform's total regional revenue. This is not a traditional relationship management role. It is a highly complex, cross-functional leadership position requiring mastery in corporate-franchisee governance, deep technical API/POS infrastructure integration, and high-stakes multi-year contract structuring.
This role reports directly to the Head of Global Delivery Partnerships and indirectly to the General Manager, ANZ. The Key Account Director role also leads a dedicated cross-functional squad across Account Management, Operations, Product and Marketing.
Your Impact in Role
(1) Commercial Architecture & P&L Ownership
- Strategic Growth & P&L: Assume full accountability for the portfolio's Gross Bookings (GB), marketplace take-rates, and overall margin health to achieve ambitious annual growth targets.
- High-Stakes Negotiations: Design, negotiate, and execute multi-year Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and joint business plans that maximize mutual profitability with C-suite level stakeholders.
- Joint Financial Ecosystems: Manage multi-million-dollar co-marketing investments and joint corporate funds, ensuring clear ROI tracking and capital deployment.
(2) Franchisee Governance & Operational Excellence
- Dual-Layer Stakeholder Alignment: Navigate the complex political and operational landscape of Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), balancing corporate C-suite objectives with independent Franchisee Associations and Regional Councils.
- Operational Interventions: Lead collaborative operational initiatives to optimize store-level execution, directly influencing metrics such as order pacing, preparation times, courier wait times, and cancellation rates across thousands of locations.
- Influence Without Direct Authority: Establish trusted-advisor status with independent franchise owners to drive platform compliance, localized operational improvements, and marketing participation.
(3) Technical Integration & Product Innovation
- Technical Ecosystem Integration: Partner with internal Product and Engineering teams and merchant IT leads to deploy, stabilize, and scale deep point-of-sale (POS) middleware and custom API connections.
- Frictionless Commerce: Eliminate technical blockages down to the individual store level, ensuring high menu uptime, reliable kitchen routing, and rapid order injection.
- Bespoke Feature Deployment: Drive the co-development of delivery innovations (e.g., tailored bundling, loyalty integrations, or white-label fulfillment options).
(4) Cross-Functional Leadership
- Internal Mobilization: Galvanize and steer a matrixed, dedicated team spanning Legal, Policy, Marketplace Operations, Product, and Regional Marketing to execute against partner roadmaps.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate with global account leads and international markets to standardize best practices, scale product playbooks, and maintain global account continuity.
The Experience You'll Bring:
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience, with a proven track record managing massive-scale enterprise portfolios ($100M+ value), complex retail networks, or fast-moving digital marketplaces.
- Demonstrated mastery in high-stakes contract design, complex financial modeling, game-theory strategy, and managing executive-level relationships.
- Deep familiarity with the mechanics of franchise-led corporate structures, integrated supply chains, and large-scale retail ops. Prior QSR, delivery platform, or modern retail enterprise experience is highly regarded.
- Strong comfort level collaborating with Engineering and Product organizations; an understanding of how API integrations, POS infrastructure, and data-sharing impact consumer-facing conversion.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a leading institution is highly preferred.
