For more than 35 years, Tuga Pastries has been bringing a little taste of Portugal to Sydney. As a proudly family-owned bakery, we're renowned for our handcrafted pastries, artisan breads and our famous Portuguese Tarts that have built a loyal following across the city.

As we continue to grow and expand with new stores opening in Sydney CBD and Sydney Airport, we're looking for Sydney-based Pastry Chefs to join our team.

Whether you're an experienced Pastry Chef, recently qualified or looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

Permanent and casual opportunities available
Based at our Marrickville production facility
Be part of an exciting period of growth, supporting our expanding Sydney operations
Work with a passionate and experienced bakery team
Produce premium artisan pastries, breads and baked goods enjoyed across Sydney
Early morning, afternoon and overnight shifts available
Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our bakery team, you'll play an important role in creating the products that have made Tuga a Sydney favourite by:

Preparing and producing a wide range of artisan pastries, breads and baked goods
Mixing, laminating, shaping, baking and decorating products to the highest standards
Following recipes and production schedules while maintaining consistency and quality
Ensuring products meet presentation and quality expectations
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Assisting with stock rotation and ingredient preparation
Working collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production deadlines
Contributing to a positive and supportive workplace culture

About You

You'll be someone who:

Is currently based in Sydney with Australian working rights
Holds a qualification in Patisserie or has equivalent industry experience
Has a genuine passion for pastry and producing exceptional products
Takes pride in quality, consistency and attention to detail
Works well in a fast-paced production environment
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
Is reliable, organised and committed to delivering outstanding products
Is willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings
