Sydneywide Hire Group is looking for a practical, organised and hands-on Warehouse & Operations Coordinator to join our growing event hire team.
This is a key role within our business, helping manage the day-to-day flow of equipment through our warehouse while supporting our operations team with job preparation, loading, returns, cleaning, organisation, vehicle movements and general planning.
This role would suit someone who enjoys keeping things clean, ordered and efficient, while also being happy to jump on a forklift, drive a truck, clean equipment, organise stock, help prepare jobs and support the wider team where needed.
This is not just a standard warehouse hand role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, think ahead, keep standards high and help make sure our team is prepared to deliver events properly.

We supply and install marquees, flooring, staging, furniture, fencing, toilets, lighting, AV, custom builds and event infrastructure for corporate events, government events, festivals, community events, private functions and major activations across Sydney and NSW.

About the Role
As our Warehouse & Operations Coordinator, you will help keep the warehouse, vehicles, equipment and job preparation process running smoothly.
You will be involved in receiving returned equipment, checking and cleaning stock, organising warehouse areas, preparing jobs for dispatch, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, driving company vehicles when required, and supporting the operations team with practical planning and preparation.
The role requires someone who can be trusted to keep things moving, notice what needs doing, and take pride in the condition and organisation of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:
- Managing the day-to-day organisation of warehouse areas
- Preparing, picking and packing equipment for upcoming event jobs
- Checking returned stock after events
- Cleaning, sorting and putting away hire equipment
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Driving company vehicles and trucks when required
- Assisting with delivery and collection of event equipment as needed
- Helping maintain warehouse cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting stock control and equipment tracking
- Identifying damaged, missing or incomplete equipment
- Assisting with basic maintenance, repairs and quality checks
- Helping plan warehouse workflow around upcoming jobs
- Supporting the operations team with logistics and preparation
- Keeping accessways, loading zones and storage areas safe and clear
- Helping improve warehouse systems, layouts and processes
- Leading by example with a tidy, organised and proactive approach
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and organised.
The ideal person will be comfortable working in a hands-on environment and will take pride in keeping the warehouse clean, structured and ready for the next job.
You will need to be someone who can work independently, follow instructions, communicate clearly and also think ahead when things get busy.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, transport, events, construction, equipment hire or a similar hands-on role
- Forklift experience and preferably a current forklift licence
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Confidence driving vans or small trucks
- MR or HR truck licence highly regarded
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move equipment safely
- Strong organisational skills
- A clean, tidy and methodical approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure during busy event periods
- A practical, problem-solving mindset
- A willingness to help across different areas of the business
- Pride in doing things properly
Highly Regarded Skills
The following would be an advantage, but are not essential:
- Event hire industry experience
- Marquee, staging, flooring or furniture hire experience
- Truck driving experience
- MR or HR licence
- EWP licence
- White Card
- Basic maintenance or handyman skills
- Experience supervising or coordinating warehouse staff
- Experience with stock control systems
- Knowledge of safe manual handling and load restraint
