JPJ Audio is seeking a motivated and organised RiggingDepartment Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of our busyRigging Department.
Reporting to the Rigging Department Supervisor, you'll playa key role in ensuring our extensive rigging inventory is maintained,organised, compliant and prepared for upcoming projects.
This is primarily a warehouse-based position and isideal for someone who enjoys equipment management, logistics, organisation andmaintaining high technical standards. While there may be occasionalopportunities to assist on-site, this is not a touring or regular show crewrole.
About the Role
Working alongside the Rigging Department Supervisor, youwill assist with:
- Preparing rigging equipment for upcoming productions.
- Processing equipment returns and ensuring gear is cleaned, inspected and ready for hire.
- Maintaining accurate inventory and equipment records.
- Coordinating inspections, servicing and maintenance schedules.
- Managing compliance documentation and equipment certification.
- Organising repairs and liaising with external service providers where required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient warehouse.
- Assisting with stocktakes and continuous improvement projects.
- Supporting new equipment commissioning and department development.
- Working closely with Operations and other warehouse departments to ensure equipment is available when required.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride inorganisation and understands the importance of maintaining equipment to thehighest standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in entertainment rigging, staging, production or a related technical industry highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- High attention to detail.
- Good computer skills.
- The ability to work independently while supporting a larger team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Forklift licence (preferred).
- Working at Heights qualification (advantageous).
- HR licence (advantageous).
