This role is responsible for the receiving, organisation and movement of materials that support our production process, from board products and hardware through to sinks, basins and other joinery components. Working closely with our factory team, you will help maintain inventory accuracy, support production efficiency and ensure our warehouse operates to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
1. Goods Receiving & Dispatch: Load and unload deliveries using a forklift (Forklift Licence essential). Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and damage. Tick off delivery dockets and purchase orders against received items. Ensure correct quantities and specifications match paperwork. Store goods and prepare for internal production use.
2. Stock Control & Inventory Management: Label all incoming materials clearly (board, sinks, basins, hardware, etc.). Allocate and store materials in designated locations. Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts. Maintain accurate stock levels within the system. Order stock and consumables as required to maintain minimum levels. Report discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
3. Job Preparation & Production Support: Prepare and assemble "job boxes" containing all hardware and materials required for each project. Ensure materials are ready and available to meet production schedules. Communicate with factory and office staff regarding stock availability. Assist production team with material movements as required.
4. Computer & Administrative Duties: Enter goods received into inventory management systems. Perform data entry for stock movements and job allocations. Update internal systems accurately. Maintain organised filing of delivery dockets and paperwork. Assist with purchase order tracking and reconciliation.
5. Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse. Ensure safe stacking and storage of board and materials. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Conduct routine housekeeping inspections of storage areas. Ensure walkways and loading zones remain clear and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (kitchen joinery experience highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Competent computer skills (inventory systems, data entry, Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
