Windy Hill Venue and Melton Country Club are proudly operated by the Essendon Football Club, one of Australia’s most iconic and respected sporting organisations. Both venues embody the Club’s commitment to excellence, community, and connection, offering exceptional hospitality, entertainment, and event experiences to members and guests alike.

At Windy Hill Venue, located in the heart of Essendon, we celebrate the Club’s rich heritage through Premium dining, social experiences, and function spaces that bring people together. The venue is a Vibrant entertainment hub featuring three function rooms, a 120-seat bistro, dedicated TAB, 100 EGMs, and multiple bars.

Together, our venues form an integral part of the Essendon Football Club’s broader vision – delivering outstanding service and memorable experiences both on and off the field.

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Receptionist to join the team! As the first point of contact for members and guests, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment. You’ll manage enquiries across phone, email, and in person, while keeping front-of-house operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing incoming calls and general enquiries with a warm, professional manner
Greeting and directing visitors to the venue
Monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness
Coordinating mail, deliveries, and loading bay activity
Providing general administrative and clerical support, including document preparation
Maintaining a tidy, well-presented reception area
Assisting with enquiries, problem-solving, and managing guest concerns

About you

You’re an experienced Receptionist who thrives in a busy environment and genuinely enjoys helping people. You bring a polished, friendly presence and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

You will also bring:

Exceptional customer service skills and a professional phone manner
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
