Experienced Wall & Floor Tiler – Career Progression to Project Manager

Full-Time | Brisbane, QLD
$85,000 – $95,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience

About the role

One Stop Bath & Tiles is looking for an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our growing bathroom renovation team in Brisbane.

This is a full-time, hands-on position primarily focused on professional wall and floor tiling for residential bathroom renovation projects.

The successful candidate will initially work primarily as a Wall & Floor Tiler, while also assisting with the day-to-day coordination and supervision of approximately 1–2 bathroom renovation projects at a time.

This is not an office-only Project Manager role.

As you become familiar with our renovation system and gain experience across the complete renovation process, you will gradually become more involved in trade coordination, scheduling, quality control and site management.

Over time, the role is intended to develop into a Project Manager position, managing multiple renovation projects, coordinating trades and eventually assisting with renovation operations across several locations within our growing network.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to move beyond working solely as a tiler and develop a long-term career in project and renovation management.

Key responsibilities

Professional wall and floor tiling for residential bathroom renovations
Measuring and setting out wall and floor tiling works
Preparing surfaces and substrates for tiling
Cutting, laying, aligning and finishing wall and floor tiles
Grouting and silicone finishing
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Assisting with the coordination and supervision of approximately 1–2 renovation projects at a time
Coordinating with plumbers, electricians, demolition contractors, carpenters, painters and other subcontractors
Monitoring project schedules and daily site progress
Organising trades and preparing upcoming stages of work
Checking workmanship and maintaining company quality standards
Identifying and resolving day-to-day site issues
Organising and checking materials required for each project
Communicating with the office, subcontractors and renovation team
Keeping the office updated on project progress and site issues
Assisting with the training and supervision of tilers and renovation team members as the role develops

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Minimum 3 years' professional Wall & Floor Tiling experience
Strong wall and floor tiling skills
Experience working on residential bathroom renovations
Good understanding of bathroom renovation processes
Ability to read plans, measure, set out and complete tiling work independently
High attention to detail and workmanship
Strong problem-solving skills
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to coordinate with different trades and subcontractors
Reliable, responsible and able to work independently
Current Australian driver's licence
Ability to travel between renovation sites across Brisbane and surrounding areas
A genuine interest in developing from a hands-on tradesperson into a Project Manager / renovation management role

A relevant Wall & Floor Tiling qualification will be highly regarded.

One Stop Bath & Tiles is a growing Brisbane-based bathroom renovation and retail company specialising in complete bathroom renovations from start to finish.

We operate physical showrooms in Camp Hill and Underwood, with a partner location on the Gold Coast, and we are continuing to expand our renovation and showroom network across South East Queensland.

Our renovation projects involve the complete coordination of demolition, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, waterproofing, tiling, painting and product installation.

As our network continues to grow, we are building a stronger internal project management team to maintain consistent quality and efficiently manage renovation projects across multiple locations.
