Position: Carpenter
Location: Brisbane
Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the materials required, dimensions, and installation processes.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This includes frameworks, roofs, floors, and walls.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials such as wood, plasterboard, and metal.
- Ensure that all works meet the high-quality standards of MGT Construction and comply with relevant regulations and codes.
- Work on renovation projects, restoring historical structures, and retrofitting buildings with new features.
- Operate variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Strictly adhere to workplace safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with other trade professionals to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Estimate amounts and costs of required materials and coordinate the ordering and delivery of supplies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience
- Strong understanding of construction methods and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000/year + superannuation
