Support Workers Wanted – Help People Live Life Their Way

At My Choice Disability Support, we believe great support does more than complete a shift—it changes lives.

We're looking for rare people with heart, creativity and gusto. People who genuinely care, celebrate the small wins, build meaningful relationships, and want to help participants create positive memories while living life on their own terms.

Every participant is different and wonderful in their own way. Some people may require encouragement and companionship, while others have complex support needs or behaviours of concern that require patience, confidence, consistency and creative problem-solving.

Supporting participants to engage in hobbies, interests and activities they genuinely enjoy.
Facilitating activities through our Sisterhood and Sociable Society programs.

Supporting participants with emotional regulation and behaviours of concern using positive, person-centred approaches.
Adapting your communication style to suit each participant's individual needs.
Encouraging participants to achieve personal goals and increase independence.

Essential Requirements

Current Driver's Licence.
Reliable and insured vehicle.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly Regarded

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, Community Services or Aged Care.
Experience supporting people with a wide range of disabilities and support needs, including autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, physical disability, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, epilepsy, neurological conditions, vision or hearing impairment, mental health conditions, complex support needs and behaviours of concern.
Experience supporting participants with high-intensity support needs, including personal care, manual handling, medication assistance, mealtime support and epilepsy management (where appropriately trained).
Relevant lived experience.
A proactive, positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to think creatively when supporting participants.
