Casual Disability Support Worker – Ipswich, Gatton & Brisbane
Relief Wakes is a registered NDIS provider (provider number 4053361903) seeking respectful and reliable casual Disability Support Workers for participant-led supports across Ipswich, Redbank Plains, Springfield, Gatton and Brisbane.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You may support participants with:
- daily living and personal care, within your training and the participant’s support plan
- community access, social participation and capacity-building activities
- meal preparation and household tasks
- participant transport during support, where authorised
- clear, timely case notes and reporting of incidents or concerns
Shifts and locations depend on participant needs. This is a casual expression of interest and does not guarantee minimum hours.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- legal right to work in Australia
- current NDIS Worker Screening clearance before participant-facing duties
- current First Aid and CPR certificates
- ability to communicate respectfully and complete accurate case notes
- smartphone suitable for secure rostering and work records
- current driver licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle where driving is required
- Working with Children (Blue Card) clearance where the allocated role involves child-related work
DESIRABLE
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related field
- experience supporting people with disability, including autism or psychosocial disability
- relevant training and experience for complex or high-intensity supports
- multilingual or culturally responsive support experience
PAY AND CONDITIONS
Casual rates will be paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS Award). Classification and pay point depend on the duties, qualifications and experience. Applicable casual loading, penalty rates and allowances will be paid.
