The Role
We are seeking experienced Community Workers to join our Queensland House team in Redbank Plains.
This rewarding role involves supporting a male participant with complex mental health needs to achieve his individual goals, maintain independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in his community. You will play a vital role in providing person-centred support, promoting wellbeing, and creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment that enhances the participant's quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks
- Provide personal care and daily living support
- Support community access and participation in activities
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Administer medication in accordance with policy and training
- Complete progress notes and documentation
- Follow individual support plans and risk management procedures
- Work in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Community Worker
- Experience supporting participants with mental health needs and behaviours of concern
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with participants and their support networks
- Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
- Current National Police Check
- Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Medication Administration Certificate (desirable)

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
