About Us

We are a well-established hospitality venue committed to delivering high-quality food, exceptional customer experiences, and a positive team culture. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional looking to further their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, safety, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and preparing high-quality meals in accordance with venue standards.
Monitoring food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Assisting with menu development and seasonal menu updates.
Managing food costs, portion control, and minimising wastage.
Ordering, receiving, and monitoring stock levels.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Supervising and training junior kitchen staff where required.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Working collaboratively with management and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Relevant qualification equivalent to an Australian Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, equivilant or higher qualification.
Minimum of two years' of relevant industry experience.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
Experience working in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
