About You

You are an experienced and confident leader with a strong background in reservations, tourism, or hospitality, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You bring excellent communication and organisational skills, allowing you to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. With a commercial mindset and sound understanding of revenue management principles, you are comfortable analysing performance and identifying opportunities to optimise results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading and developing a team, and take pride in creating a positive, collaborative workplace cultural. Your proactive approach, problem-solving ability, and commitment to service excellence make you well suited to this role.

About The Role

The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the reservations function, ensuring seamless and high-quality booking experiences for all guests. This role focuses on driving revenue and occupancy outcomes through effective inventory management, while leading and developing a high-performing team.

You will play a key role in optimising reservations processes, monitoring performance and forecasting trends, and collaborating closely with internal teams to support overall business objectives. Combining strong operational oversight with a customer-first approach, you will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence across all reservation’s channels.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage the reservations team, including setting goals and objectives, providing feedback and coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
Monitor call volume and work closely with Workforce Optimisation Manager to adjust staffing levels as needed to ensure timely and efficient service.
Oversee the handling of customer inquiries and bookings, including answering questions, providing quotes, and processing reservations.
Attending Disruption Management Team (DMT) meetings and coordinating and communicating the actions for the Disruption with the Travel Centre and broader stakeholders.
Ensure that reservations are accurately entered into the system and that all necessary documentation is complete.
Monitor and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the booking process.
Train new team members on company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practice.
Participate in the development and implementation of strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
