Key Responsibilities - This will be a fixed term contract covering Parental leave for 12 months
- Develop and implement reservation policies, procedures and best practices to streamline operations.
- Monitor reservation requests across phone, email, website and third-party channels, ensuring guest information and preferences are accurately recorded.
- Manage inventory and room allocations to maximise occupancy and revenue.
- Recruit, train and supervise a team of reservation agents, conducting regular performance reviews, coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Sales & Marketing team to develop pricing strategies, promotions and packages that drive revenue growth.
- Analyse market trends and competitor strategies, and create and maintain an annual reservations plan and budget.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all guest touchpoints, handling escalated issues to a satisfactory resolution.
- Monitor and analyse reservation data and KPIs, generating regular reports on trends, occupancy and revenue.
- Stay across reservation management software and tools, ensuring systems are maintained and updated to optimise processes.
- Assist colleagues with additional duties as required to support overall team performance.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a reservations or similar hotel role.
- Working knowledge of hotel operating systems, such as Opera or iVvy.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Commercial acumen, with a track record of driving revenue through pricing, promotions and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to make well-considered decisions under pressure.
- A customer-first mindset and a proven ability to resolve escalated guest issues professionally.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and reporting to inform decisions.
- A resilient, organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
