About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Resort Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Surfers Beachside Holiday Apartments in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to take responsibility for guest satisfaction, operational performance, team leadership, and overall property presentation.
As the Resort Manager, you will be the face of the resort - responsible for delivering exceptional service, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring a seamless and memorable stay for our guests. You will manage a small, close-knit team, oversee reservations, coordinate housekeeping and maintenance, and act as the primary point of contact for guests, unit owners, contractors, and the Body Corporate.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment and is passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to think on your feet, multitask, and lead with professionalism and personality will be key to your success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overseeing day-to-day resort operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, guest services, and reservations
- Managing marketing initiatives, including online travel agent (OTA) listings, direct booking channels, promotions, and local partnerships
- Maximising revenue and occupancy through dynamic pricing, yield management, and efficient booking systems
- Building strong relationships with unit owners and guests to enhance satisfaction and retention
- Liaising professionally with the Body Corporate, attending meetings, and ensuring compliance with building by-laws and shared agreements
- Expanding and maintaining the holiday rental pool, ensuring properties are well-presented and consistently occupied
- Acting as the main point of contact for guests, providing exceptional hospitality and resolving enquiries and concerns promptly
- Managing reservations and property management systems, maintaining accurate records and optimising occupancy
- Conducting regular property inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety
- Coordinating contractors and suppliers to maintain the property and manage inventory requirements
- Leading and supporting a small on-site team with a hands-on and collaborative management style
- Monitoring budgets, preparing reports, and ensuring cost-effective and sustainable operations
- Responding to guest needs and operational issues as required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in resort, hotel, management rights, or short-stay accommodation management
- Current Real Estate Licence, or the ability to obtain one (essential)
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with Body Corporate committees, unit owners, guests, contractors, and suppliers
- Strong understanding of revenue management, dynamic pricing, and business performance strategies
- Experience growing occupancy, revenue, and holiday letting portfolios
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards
- Proficiency with property management systems, channel managers, and marketing platforms
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of resort operations
- Positive, professional attitude with flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the business

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
