Wildflower Society is opening a brand-new store in Hurstville and we’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the venue from day one.

About the role

As the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the store, building a strong team culture and ensuring every shift delivers the food, coffee, service and hospitality standards our guests expect.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching their team and creating a warm, consistent guest experience.

You’ll be responsible for:

Team leadership, training, and culture
Service execution and consistency
Food cost management and supplier ordering
Rostering and kitchen administration
Maintaining premium food standards
Collaborating with ownership and management on future growth
Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality across all dishes

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in cafe/restaurant enviroment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience delivering high-volume, quality service
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Strong understanding of food costs and kitchen systems
A natural leader who can mentor and inspire a team
