Folly's Bar & Bistro are looking for a talented and passionate head chef looking to take the next step in their career, jumping into a senior chef position in our neighbourhood bistro, located in Cammeray on Sydney’s North Shore.
This opportunity will allow you to make your mark in the kitchen, assisting operators in executing an ever evolving bistro menu, with key influences from Europe and Australia.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will have the responsibility of managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, managing the team, running pass operations, controlling purchasing and wages, and helping to build the culture for the venue.
The bistro menu evolves every few months, so plenty of opportunity for creative flare.
You will be reporting directly to the venue owners, who you will also be working side by side with on a daily basis.
Key duties and responsibilities will include;
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes within your section
- Food hygiene
- Leadership and support within the kitchen team
- Purchasing and labour control
- Overseeing kitchen cleanliness and maintenance
Skillset;
- A minimum of 1-2 years head chef experience
- High level organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Self motivation and ability to use your own initiative
- Ability to cope with changing work demands and a fast-changing environment

Pay: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
