WA Industrial Cylinder Engineers is a privately owned industry leader specialising in the manufacture, overhaul, and repair of hydraulic cylinders for heavy mining mobile equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified 1st Class Machinist – CNC Machinist to join our team at our modern, well-equipped Perth workshop.

About You

You are a motivated tradesperson who values quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. You will have:

Australian recognised 1st Class Machinist Trade Certificate
Minimum 3 years' CNC machining experience
Experience operating CNC lathes and machining centres
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls (desirable)
Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to producing high-quality work
Experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience desirable)
Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude with a commitment to workplace safety

Experience within the hydraulic cylinder industry is highly regarded; however, training will be provided to the right candidate with the appropriate trade background.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centres
Manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinder components, including glands, pistons, heads, and barrels
Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications
Select tooling and machine components to precise tolerances
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are achieved
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
Work collaboratively with supervisors and production team members to achieve production targets

Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid Australian work visa.

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
