About You
You are a motivated tradesperson who values quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. You will have:
- Australian recognised 1st Class Machinist Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years' CNC machining experience
- Experience operating CNC lathes and machining centres
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls (desirable)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience desirable)
- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to workplace safety
Experience within the hydraulic cylinder industry is highly regarded; however, training will be provided to the right candidate with the appropriate trade background.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centres
- Manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinder components, including glands, pistons, heads, and barrels
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications
- Select tooling and machine components to precise tolerances
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and production team members to achieve production targets
