About You
You are a motivated tradesperson who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping production equipment operating efficiently. You will have:
- Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience maintaining CNC machinery, overhead cranes, hydraulic equipment, compressors, pumps, and general workshop plant (desirable)
- Experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience desirable)
- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
- Leadership potential and a desire to grow into a management role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on workshop machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
- Service and maintain CNC machines, lathes, mills, hydraulic equipment, compressors, overhead cranes, and general workshop plant
- Coordinate planned maintenance schedules to maximise equipment reliability
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and equipment reliability
