OpticsCentral – Australia’s Optics Superstore – is looking for a full-time Sales and Marketing Graduate to join our Sydney retail showroom in Auburn, NSW, conveniently located just 26 minutes from Sydney.

The Role

Based in our new Auburn showroom, we are looking for a full-time Sales and Marketing Graduate who can provide outstanding sales and customer service for customers in a niche category. This role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has a drive to succeed and a desire to develop hands-on experience in small business development. Interest and knowledge in astronomy and the outdoors is highly beneficial for your application. All successful applicants are required to work on Saturdays. This role will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

Be a part of a brand new close-knit sales team that works tenaciously to offer personalised and outstanding levels of sales and customer support, catered for the local NSW astronomy and birding market. Training will be provided.
Attend to all inbound sales enquiries across various channels including in-store customers, phone calls, emails, and store events.
Participate in and help organise local events, stargazing nights, and store activations that connect the community with the world of optics.
Fulfil online, in-store and phone orders, including stock management, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Take care of the entire customer experience from pre-sales, picking and packing to sales support.
Support national promotional campaigns planned by headquarters by ensuring accurate execution in-store and online to drive engagement, meet KPIs and budgets.
Work as part of the Marketing Team to develop, execute sales and marketing activities across multiple platforms including online search engines, social media, comparison sites, forums, magazines, events, etc

Key Skill Requirements

Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers from all backgrounds and varying interests
Positive attitude, attention to detail and customers orientated personality
Proven interpersonal skills, including negotiation, problem solving and dispute resolution
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
Experience with Retail Express (or similar), Magento 2, Microsoft 365, Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools
Experience with Social Media, particularly Facebook, TikTok and Instagram
