Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition and account growth across the Australian IT staffing and technology services market.
The role will focus on identifying and acquiring new enterprise customers, generating recurring IT staffing requirements, managing the complete sales cycle, and building long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian IT staffing and contingent workforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute named-account strategies for Australian enterprise customers.
- Generate new business through cold calling, LinkedIn, email, referrals, networking and partner channels.
- Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Technology Leaders, Talent Acquisition, Procurement and Vendor Management teams.
- Generate opportunities across IT contract staffing, permanent recruitment and executive search.
- Identify and cross-sell EOR, offshore staffing, ODC/BOT and technology project services.
- Manage vendor empanelment, supplier registration, RFPs, proposals, pricing and commercial negotiations.
- Own the sales pipeline, CRM updates, forecasting and revenue targets.
- Work closely with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfilment of client requirements.
- Develop existing accounts through repeat business, new departments and additional locations.
- Maintain client relationships through onboarding and the initial stages of delivery.
- Represent the organisation at client meetings, industry events and partner forums.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years of B2B Sales / Business Development experience in Australia.
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling IT contract recruitment, technology staffing or contingent workforce solutions.
- Proven track record of new-logo acquisition and enterprise sales.
- Strong network across Technology, Talent Acquisition, Procurement and Contingent Workforce functions.
- Good understanding of Australian contract staffing economics, including pay/bill rates, superannuation, payroll costs, margins and payment terms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting.
- Strong cold-calling and consultative selling capability.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Ability to attend client meetings in person.
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling into BFSI, Telecom, Retail, Consulting/SI or Government sectors.
- Existing Australian client relationships and enterprise contacts.
- Exposure to EOR, RPO/MSP, SOW, offshore development teams or managed services.
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
- Understanding of Cloud, Data/AI, Cybersecurity, ERP/CRM, Software Engineering and Infrastructure talent markets.
- Experience with RFPs, tenders or government panels.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
