Are you an HR professional who enjoys solving complex employee relations matters, partnering with leaders and making a genuine impact across a large workforce?
Join Moran Health Care Group as a People & Culture Advisor – Employee Relations, where you'll support almost 800 employees across four aged care homes and Head Office while developing your expertise in employment law, workplace investigations and strategic HR.
You'll manage employee relations matters from end to end, coach operational leaders, conduct workplace investigations and provide practical employment law advice while partnering with leaders across a workforce of almost 800 employees. You will work closely with operational leaders to provide practical HR advice, support managers and employees, and foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will partner with our aged care homes to provide expert advice across a broad range of employee relations and generalist HR matters. You will also contribute to People & Culture initiatives, workforce projects, injury management, and compliance activities that align with Moran Health Care Group's strategic objectives.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:

Managing end-to-end medium and high-risk employee relations matters, including misconduct, grievances, complaints, performance management, short and long-term absences.

Providing timely, practical and compliant employee relations advice to managers, including preparing correspondence and participating in workplace meetings.

Conducting fair, objective and well-documented workplace investigations in accordance with legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies.

Assisting managers with performance improvement processes and preparing documentation relating to performance management and employment outcomes.

Providing guidance on People & Culture policies, procedures and employment legislation.

Coordinating injury management and return-to-work processes.

Identifying opportunities to improve employee relations practices, reporting and case management processes.

Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring documentation complies with legislative and organisational requirements.

Assisting with the delivery of People & Culture initiatives and organisational projects.

Maintaining employee information within HR systems and preparing HR reports.

Providing generalist HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
About You
You're someone who enjoys solving workplace issues, building trusted relationships with leaders and providing practical HR advice.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and enjoy balancing operational HR with opportunities to improve processes and contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives.
You'll have a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and enjoy keeping up to date with changes to employment law, industrial relations and workplace compliance.
What You'll Bring:

A qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and workplace investigations.

Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and industrial relations principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make balanced and evidence-based decisions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to build effective working relationships with managers and employees at all levels.

High levels of professionalism, judgement and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience using Microsoft Office and HR information systems.

A current unrestricted Class C Driver Licence and willingness to travel to Moran sites when required.

Current influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with Government and organisational requirements.
