Job Summary :
Keep aircraft moving. Join an aviation procurement team managing AOG, aircraft parts, repairs and logistics across fixed and rotary wing operations.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring inventory levels of materials
- Raising purchase orders, record keeping and stock traceability.
- Local and international sourcing and purchasing
- Monitoring local and international shipments and working close with freight forwarders and customs officials
- Maintaining and developing excellent customer relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Vendor contract negotiations
- Goods receipts / dispatching as well as shipping and freight monitoring
- Periodic stock takes

We are looking for an experienced Aviation Procurement & Logistics Officer to support aircraft maintenance and operational requirements across a varied aviation fleet. This is a hands-on procurement role suited to someone who understands the urgency, technical requirements and operational impact of sourcing aircraft materials.
You will work from our Brisbane office and manage purchasing, logistics, stock and supplier relationships across local and international markets. There is no remote or work-from-home option for this role.
You will:
- Source and purchase aircraft parts, materials and maintenance consumables
- Support urgent AOG procurement requirements on a rotational weekly basis
- Raise purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
- Monitor inventory levels, stock traceability and material availability
- Coordinate local and international shipments
- Work closely with freight forwarders and customs representatives
- Manage goods receipting, dispatch and freight movements
- Support vendor negotiations and supplier relationships
- Coordinate repairs, overhauls, exchanges and warranty claims where required
- Conduct periodic stock takes and support warehouse activities
- Work closely with maintenance, engineering and operational stakeholders to keep aircraft material moving

Essential Requirements Required Role Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, buying, planning, supply or logistics.
Aviation procurement experience is strongly preferred, particularly supporting aircraft maintenance operations, AOG requirements or technical material supply.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
A degree in Business Management, Supply, Science, Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred.
Relevant procurement, supply chain or logistics experience will also be considered.
Work Rights:
Must have unrestricted Australian work rights. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location / Availability:
This is a full-time, Brisbane-based onsite role. Remote and work-from-home arrangements are not available.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the Nundah area office and participate in a rotational weekly AOG support arrangement.
Additional Requirements:
Experience working with warehouse operations, stock control, freight, shipping and logistics is required.
Experience managing local and international suppliers, shipments and customs processes will be highly regarded.
Skills:
Strong aviation procurement knowledge, inventory management, supplier coordination, purchasing, freight and logistics capability.
High-level written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Experience with the following will be highly regarded:
- Aviation procurement and AOG purchasing
- Fixed wing aircraft parts and material support, including aircraft such as ATR, Twin Otter, Airbus or Boeing
- Rotary wing aircraft parts and material support, including helicopter platforms
- Repairs, overhauls and exchanges
- Warranty claims and supplier coordination
- High-volume procurement management
- Stock traceability and material record keeping
Attitude:
You will be organised, commercially aware and comfortable working with urgency when aircraft material requirements change.
The right person will communicate clearly with engineers, maintenance teams, suppliers and freight providers, take ownership of procurement priorities and understand that getting the right part to the right place can directly affect aircraft availability.
