The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Preparing, reviewing and administering supplier agreements, subcontractor contracts and client contract documentation.
- Developing, reviewing and negotiating contract terms, variations and commercial agreements.
- Coordinating procurement activities, including requesting quotations, evaluating suppliers, preparing purchase documentation and managing contract awards.
- Administering contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including variations, purchase orders, progress claims and payment schedules.
- Monitoring project budgets, procurement costs and commercial performance, and assisting with financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, company procedures and client requirements.
- Identifying contractual risks, discrepancies and commercial issues, and providing recommendations to management.
- Liaising with Project Managers, Interior Designers, suppliers, manufacturers, installers and clients to ensure contractual and project requirements are achieved.
- Coordinating supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure contractual obligations, delivery schedules and project milestones are met.
- Maintaining accurate records of contracts, procurement documentation, project correspondence, contract variations and commercial information.
- Preparing contractual reports, project updates and management submissions.
- Collecting and analysing project and procurement data to support commercial reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Commerce, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience as a Contracts Administrator or in a similar commercial contracts role.
- Demonstrated experience administering commercial contracts, procurement processes and supplier agreements.
- Strong understanding of contract management, commercial administration and cost control principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using ERP, procurement or project management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience within the commercial furniture, workplace solutions, fit-out or interior design industry.
- Knowledge of procurement practices, contract administration and Australian commercial contract frameworks.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and external suppliers.
Pay: $79,500.00 – $85,000.00 per year
