A leading aviation operator services organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its team in Brisbane.
The successful candidate will support the procurement, stores and material maintenance functions, ensuring materials are sourced, purchased, received and distributed efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer requirements, operational needs and company procedures.

Monitor inventory levels and identify material requirements to support ongoing operations.
Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate record keeping and stock traceability.
Undertake local and international sourcing and procurement activities.
Source materials competitively while considering cost, quality, availability and delivery requirements.
Monitor local and international shipments and coordinate closely with freight forwarders and customs officials.
Maintain accurate procurement, inventory and shipping documentation.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Negotiate pricing, supply arrangements and vendor contracts where required.
Coordinate goods receipting, dispatching, shipping and freight activities.
Monitor supplier and freight performance to ensure materials are delivered within required timeframes.
Conduct periodic stocktakes and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Ensure procurement and material management activities are conducted in accordance with relevant aviation, manufacturer and operational requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, stores and supply chain processes.
Degree or relevant qualification in Business Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Science, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, planning, supply chain, logistics or a similar role.
Previous experience in warehouse, inventory and logistics operations.
Experience with local and international procurement and freight processes.
Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory control and stock traceability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
High level of proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Previous experience within the aviation will be highly regarded.
