As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our talented kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and tapas-style dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Prepare daily specials and seasonal menu items using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Ensure all dishes are consistently presented to the highest standard in flavour, quality, and presentation.
Operate charcoal grills and other commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain food quality, portion control, and consistency throughout every service.
Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety and HACCP requirements.
Assist with stock ordering, stock rotation, inventory management and waste minimisation.
Work collaboratively with chefs and other kitchen staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Assist with training junior kitchen staff and maintaining workplace health and safety standards.
Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.

Qualifications & Essential Skills

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) plus at least two years of relevant full-time post-qualification work experience, OR
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), OR
At least three years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen where no formal qualification is held.
Minimum one year of recent experience working in a busy commercial kitchen.
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
Experience preparing Middle Eastern, Mediterranean or tapas-style cuisine will be highly regarded.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for quality food, creativity and continuous improvement.

Pay: From $79,500.00 per year
