About the role
Join the kitchen team at Coogee Diggers and help deliver a quality breakfast and café dining experience. Working alongside the kitchen team, you'll play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality food across breakfast, brunch and café service, while helping create an enjoyable experience for members and guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast, brunch and café-style dishes
- Work across breakfast and daytime café service
- Prepare dishes including eggs, bacon, breakfast plates, toast, sandwiches, burgers, salads and other café menu items
- Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen set-up
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and café service periods
- Follow recipes, menu specifications and kitchen procedures
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Assist with stock control and minimising food wastage
- Ensure food is prepared and stored correctly in accordance with food safety requirements
About you
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a café, restaurant, club or commercial kitchen
- Experience with breakfast and café-style food
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Experience cooking eggs, breakfast items, grill items and café dishes
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Availability to work mornings, weekends and public holidays as required

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
