About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Officer (Stakeholder Liaison) to join the team and contribute to the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role supporting the effective operation of high-level stakeholder boards and committees within a complex and fast-paced environment. You’ll provide executive and secretariat support to statutory Ministerial committees, including coordinating agendas, preparing briefing materials and correspondence and ensuring the seamless delivery of meetings and forums.

Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll play a key role in managing sensitive and sometimes high-profile matters with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement. You’ll assist in planning and delivering stakeholder events, support recruitment and onboarding processes for board and committee members and contribute to the preparation of briefings, reports, and communication materials.

This role also involves maintaining accurate records and databases, coordinating key documentation such as board handbooks and induction materials and providing advice on relevant legislation, policies and procedures. With a strong focus on organisation and stakeholder engagement, you’ll help ensure compliance, consistency and high-quality outcomes across all activities.

You’re a highly organised and proactive professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You thrive in environments requiring attention to detail, discretion and the ability to manage competing priorities. Comfortable working with senior executives and diverse stakeholders, you bring sound judgement, initiative and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality support and coordination across a range of activities.
