About the role
We’re seeking a Finance & Assurance Officer to support the delivery of financial analysis, reporting, and assurance activities across recovery and reconstruction programs within the NSW Reconstruction Authority.
About You
You are an adaptable finance and grants professional with a solid foundation in financial administration and an understanding of grants processes. You work well in structured, high-volume environments and are comfortable supporting compliance requirements while contributing to effective day-to-day delivery of programs.
What we’re looking for
Experience in financial and grant reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation, including aligning expenditure to funding agreements and financial systems
Strong analytical capability to assess financial risk, grant eligibility, and assurance outcomes, and to interpret complex data sets
Experience supporting grants or program funding, including tracking expenditure, payments, and multiple funding sources
Ability to investigate variances, identify risks or issues, and provide clear insights to support decision-making
Experience working collaboratively with program and project teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to help streamline processes, improve data quality, and support efficient reporting and payment workflows
Essential Requirements
Must be a current temporary or ongoing NSW Public Sector employee. Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
