Chef / Cook Allrounder to help with launching our cafe

Work Environment: Peaceful wellness café, health-focused, community-driven.

Employment Type: Casual

We are opening a serene wellness café dedicated to nourishing our community with wholesome, nutrient-dense, and beautifully presented food. We are planning to operate with mindfulness, respect, and a calm energy.

We focus on fresh, seasonal, and plant-forward menus that support a healthy lifestyle.

We are seeking a versatile and passionate Chef/Cook Allrounder to join our small, harmonious team.

In this role, you will do more than just cook. Initially prep dishes for a social media photo shoot.

Once we are open you will manage the kitchen from prep to plate, maintain a pristine workspace, and occasionally interact with our guests. If you thrive in a calm, organised environment and love healthy cooking, this role is for you.

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items

Kitchen Management: Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and minimise food waste.

Cleanliness: Maintain exceptional food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards across all workstations.

Dish Mastery: Confidently manage solo kitchen shifts during prep times or quieter periods.

Team Collaboration: Work with the owner and an assistant to insure a smooth, peaceful guest experience.

Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a cook or chef.

Certification: Relevant food safety supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Attitude: A positive, reliable, and calm demeanour aligned with wellness values.
