Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Filipino cuisine, a creative flair for food presentation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a key role in preparing delicious meals that delight our guests while contributing to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Filipino dishes according to our menu and recipes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff.
- Monitor food presentation and ensure each plate meets our restaurant's standards.
- Provide excellent service during events and assist with catering as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a Filipino restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of Filipino cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Food safety certification is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
