Lead Allied Health Excellence at John Hunter Children's Hospital (JHCH)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager Allied Health Services to provide operational leadership across Allied Health services at John Hunter Children's Hospital (JHCH).

This is an outstanding opportunity for a collaborative and adaptable leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will work closely with the Director of Allied Health and fellow senior leaders to deliver high-quality, integrated Allied Health services across one of Australia's leading paediatric healthcare environments.

Leading a team of seven Allied Health Service Managers, you will play a pivotal role in driving service excellence, workforce development, clinical governance and strategic initiatives that enhance patient care.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, you will provide senior operational leadership and professional support across Allied Health disciplines within John Hunter Children's Hospital. You will ensure integrated service delivery across acute medical, surgical, neonatal and ambulatory care services while leading initiatives that strengthen clinical governance, workforce capability and service innovation.

This role also supports Allied Health managers with workforce planning, human resource management, professional leadership, supervision, education and the implementation of professional standards.

You are an engaging and adaptable healthcare leader who thrives in a changing healthcare environment. You are passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes for children and families and enjoy working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and executive leaders.

Essential Requirements

Extensive leadership and management experience within Allied Health services.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary Allied Health teams within a complex healthcare environment, preferably in paediatrics.
Strong operational management, strategic planning and service improvement experience.
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
