About the Role

We're currently seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who are available to work a combination of day, afternoon, evening and occasional weekend shifts.

You will support participants with a range of disabilities, including individuals with complex care needs, by providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, and choice. The role involves supporting participants both in their homes and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
Support participants with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks and medication assistance.
Assist participants to attend appointments, employment, community outings and social activities.
Deliver supports in line with individual care plans, goals and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
Promote participant independence, inclusion and community engagement.
Administer medication in accordance with organisational policies and legislation.
Monitor participants' health, wellbeing and safety, reporting concerns where appropriate.
Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in accordance with NDIS requirements.
Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and the wider OdysseyCare team.
Participate in regular training, team meetings and professional development opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be:

Reliable with excellent time management skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
A confident communicator with strong written and verbal English skills.
Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

Current Working with Children Check.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current National Police Check.
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
Full Australian working rights.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Previous experience supporting people living with disability.
Experience supporting participants with complex needs and/or high-intensity supports.
A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
