About the Role
We're currently seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who are available to work a combination of day, afternoon, evening and occasional weekend shifts.
You will support participants with a range of disabilities, including individuals with complex care needs, by providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, and choice. The role involves supporting participants both in their homes and within the community.
Key Responsibilities
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
- Support participants with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks and medication assistance.
- Assist participants to attend appointments, employment, community outings and social activities.
- Deliver supports in line with individual care plans, goals and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Promote participant independence, inclusion and community engagement.
- Administer medication in accordance with organisational policies and legislation.
- Monitor participants' health, wellbeing and safety, reporting concerns where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in accordance with NDIS requirements.
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and the wider OdysseyCare team.
- Participate in regular training, team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience supporting people living with disability.
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs and/or high-intensity supports.
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
