My Choice Group is a values-driven NDIS registered support service seeking a caring and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Geelong area.
Our client requires a Support Worker who can commit to consistent ongoing availability every Friday from 4.00pm-10.00pm.
About the Role:
You’ll be supporting a mature male with a disability to live independently and achieve their personal goals. The shift is every Friday from 4.00pm-10.00pm providing in-home supports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including continence aid changes, showering, dressing etc.
- Support with non-verbal communication
- Experience supporting someone who is non-ambulant and has very limited mobility
- Confidence supporting a participant weighing approximately 100kg
- Experience supporting an adult whose cognitive and adaptive functioning is similar to that of a young child
What We’re Looking For:
- Genuine compassion and patience
- Experienced applicants
- Preferably a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar disability support or aged care role
- Cert III or IV in Disability or Individual Support (preferred)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & WWCC
- Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia with no restrictions
