About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Client Intake Officer to join our team. In this frontline role, you will be responsible for managing the initial intake process for new NDIS participants, ensuring a smooth, professional and supportive onboarding experience.

You will work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and internal teams to gather essential information and ensure compliance with NDIS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients and enquiries
Conduct detailed intake assessments and gather required documentation
Explain available services, the intake process, and NDIS-related information to clients
Ensure all data is accurately entered into client management systems
Liaise with internal teams to coordinate service commencement
Maintain compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and organisational procedures
Manage confidential information with care and professionalism
Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on enquiries in a timely manner

About You

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Empathetic, patient, and committed to person-centred support
Experience in disability, community services, administration or similar roles (preferred)
Proficiency with client management systems and Microsoft Office
