About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Client Intake Officer to join our team. In this frontline role, you will be responsible for managing the initial intake process for new NDIS participants, ensuring a smooth, professional and supportive onboarding experience.
You will work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and internal teams to gather essential information and ensure compliance with NDIS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients and enquiries
- Conduct detailed intake assessments and gather required documentation
- Explain available services, the intake process, and NDIS-related information to clients
- Ensure all data is accurately entered into client management systems
- Liaise with internal teams to coordinate service commencement
- Maintain compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and organisational procedures
- Manage confidential information with care and professionalism
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on enquiries in a timely manner
About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to person-centred support
- Experience in disability, community services, administration or similar roles (preferred)
- Proficiency with client management systems and Microsoft Office
